- A Wilmette police officer helping Kenilworth police at the site of a fatal Nov. 5 Metra rail accident was knocked down by an angry bystander. The officer sustained minor injuries during the struggle. The offender was given two village citations alleging battery and interfering with an officer then released into the custody of relatives.
