- A master plan developed for Wilmette by the Lakota Group was referred in October to the Wilmette Plan Commission as a possible amendment to Wilmette's comprehensive plan. If the commission recommends some version of the plan that is approved by the Village Board, it would become Wilmette's official downtown land use policy. Wilmette Library Director Ellen Clark and Board president Cinda Axley wrote to Village President Chris Canning and Plan Commission chair Borys Later outlining concerns about library parking under the current plan. Comments by Commissioners Scott Goldstein, Susan Friedman, Ron Grossman, Gary Kohn and Richard DeLeo; Community Development Director, John Adler; Rev. Kirk Reid, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church.
