- Nicole Basil of Wilmette, is the daughter of Wilmette Village Trustee Mike Basil and Melissa Basil. The fifth-grader has organized the third annual Pedal Power Bike Drive to gather gently used bicycles as donations for Chicago youngsters. Comments by Larry Versino, owner of the Wilmette Bicycle and Sport Shop. Bicycle technicians from his shop inspect each of the bicycles donated to ensure safety.
