- Evanston aldermen discussed reimburse citizens whose water mains and pipes froze or broke when the city did road work. They also read a petition about re-naming part of Main St. The city council discussed citizen complaints about garbage being dumped on Dempster St. The city council approved giving free building, water and sewage permits to the new building for the First Church of Christ, Scientist. Mayor Paden, Aldermen Knapp, Wallace, Congdon, Turnock, Norkett and James Russell Smart spoke at the city council meeting.
