- The Kindness Connection, based in Wilmette, is offering children ages five and up, and adults in the community an opportunity to make hand-crafted items for charitable organizations. A special event will be held on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day at the Skokie School, 520 Glendale Ave., Winnetka. Eva LuBonne is executive director at The Kindness Connection.
