- Neighbors of Wilmette's Centennial Park Recreation complex at 2300 Old Glenview Road are unhappy with plans to build a cell phone tower on top of the complex's ice rink. The case was presented to the Wilmette Zoning Board of Appeals January 19. Comments by residents Ellen Kaufmann and Gail Schneiderman. Executive director Steve Wilson said the district would net roughly $3,000 a month in rental fees from the tower.
