- The Hemenway Methodist Church held services last Sunday in honor of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the dedication of the present church building. Dr. Milton S. Terry preached in the morning. In the afternoon Dr. Charles N. Stewart delivered a sermon. PResent were thirty-five of the members who were members when the present building was first erected. One charter member of the church, Mrs. Elizabeth Purnell, was also present. On Friday evening a social function was held. Former pastors were present and gave addresses. They were Rev. James F. Fenners of Freeport, the Rev. William H. Burns of Evanston, the Rev. C. H. Zimmerman of Evanston, the Rev. C. H. Mattison of Barrington, Illinois. Mr. Wesley L. Knox, president of the board of trustees twenty-five years ago and still president at the present time also spoke.
