- Wilmette's village center master plan officially became part of the village's comprehensive plan Tuesday, when village trustees unanimously gave it final approval. The plan is a set of guideposts for development rather than land-use mandates. It covers the business-zoned area bordered by Lake and Linden avenutes to the north and south; 11th street to the east; and property to the west of Green Bay Road west to Park avenue, including the post office and library. Comments by trustees, Karen Spillers, Mike Basil, Cameron Krueger and board president Christ Canning. Property owner, Michael Banks, who owns West End Antiques, 619 Green Bay Road commented unfavorably on the planning process saying he was not consulted.
