A memorial service for Robert M. Sullivan was held Sunday at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Evanston. Mr. Sullivan died January 11 at Evanston Hospital. He was 71. Mr. Sullivan was born in New York City. He was a 1939 graduate of Dartmouth College and was the president and owner of Mapes and Sprowl Steel Corp. in Chicago until 1980, when he retired and sold the company. He was a resident of Evanston for 35 years and moved to Northfield three years ago. He was a member of the Cook County Court Watchers, North Shore Genealogical Society, Sheridan Shores Yacht Club and Michigan Shores Club. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Sullivan; his daughter, Marcia Sullivan Jansen of Wilmette; his son, James Sullivan of Dallas, Texas; and his grandchildren, Eric, Laura and Brian Jansen and Noah Sullivan.
