A funeral service for Lillie Wirth Hurley was held Wednesday at Wm. H. Scott Guardian Chapel in Wilmette with the Rev. James L. Pike officiating. A resident of Maywood and a former resident of Wilmette, Mrs. Hurley died Jan. 13. She was 87. Mrs. Hurley was born in Manchaca, Texas, and received her education in the Austin, Texas, Schools; Texas Southern University and the University of Texas. Prior to moving from Wilmette to Maywood in 1986, she was an active member of the Community Church of Wilmette, North Shore Senior Center and the Woman's Club of Wilmette. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Weimer of Palatine; her brother, William T. Wirth of Benito, Texas; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Church of Wilmette, 1020 Forest Ave., Wilmette, Il 60091.
