- In speech Monday at Evanston Auditorium, Third Party nominee, Frank H. Funk verbally attacked Governor Charles S. Deneen on the subjects of direct primaries and civil service. Other speakers were Dr. S. Woods Hutchinson, Thomas Bates, a former mayor of this city, and Mrs. Antoinette Funk. At the overflow meeting Dr. Solon C. Bronson opened, and Prof. John A. Scott, a close friend of Mr. Funk, presided at the first meeting and T. K. Webester at the other.
