Notes
Seeking to balance affordable senior houseing needs with the need to manage Wilmette's capital costs, village trustees last week agreed to change a long-standing municipal "first purchase" requirement at the Atrium Village Green senior housingcomplex. The change means Wilmette won't automatically have to buy vacant apartments in the 35-unit building, if they become available in future. The Atrium Village Green complex was originally the Curtis Curling Center, but was sold by the village in 1982 to a private developer to create affordable senior housing in the community.
