- Competing as members of the Wilmette Running Club, girls from New Trier's cross country team earned a fourth-place finish in the Nike Cross Nationals held in Portland, Oregon, on Saturday. Girls included Mimi Smith, Courtney Ackerman and her sister Jessica Ackerman, Julianna Jackson, Molly Krueger, Kathleen Keene and Anna Berglund. The WIlmette team made it to th e Nike Cross Nationals by placing second in the Nike Cross Midwest Regional in Terre Haute, Indiana, on Nov. 13.
