woman s Club -liMudktffc If at first you don't succeed, slide for second Auxiliary Sets Masquerade A witches' brew and phantom's feast are cooked up for members and guests of the Junior Auxiliary of the Winnetka Woman's Club's at the Shades Masquerade to be held Saturday in the clubhouse, 485 Maple St. The social hour for goblins _and_ gremlins begins at 7:30 p.m., dinner will be at 8:30 p.m., and dancing to Allan Swain's orchestra at 9:30 p.m. Mrs. Lee Bishop of Winnetka, is dance chairman. Mrs. Donald Mac Gillivray of Winnetka and her decorations committee are gathering jack-o'-lanterns and an assortment of ghosts and witches to spark a Halloween atmosphere. Other committee members are Mrs. Ralph Meyers of Northfield; Mrs. John P. Lewis, Mrs. Arthur Gross, Mrs. William P. Krebs, Mrs. John A. Rourke, and Mrs. James M. Pier, all of Winnetka. III. Dessert Tea Opens Sacred Heart Year The Sacred Heart Council of Catholic Women opened the year with a dessert tea Oct. 18 in the home of Mrs. James C. Corbett of Winnetka. Mrs John Foreman of Glencoe, president, introduced the new officers: Mrs. Edward Bremner of Glencoe, vice president; Mrs. John Murtaugh, recording secretary; Mrs. Donald B. Ambrose, corresponding secretary, and Mrs. William R. Hogan, financial secretary, all of Winnetka, and Mrs. Earnest H. Goldsmith of Glencoe, treasurer. The community service committee, headed by Mrs. Jack Hoerner of Winnetka, is working with the Winnetka Volunteer Talent Pool.
