Peter A. Kaufmann, 77, of 1942 Birchwood Av., Wilmette, died Jan. 11 in St. Francis Hospital. Mr. Kaufmann had been manager of Hoffman Brothers Hardware Store in Wilmette for 55 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Catholic Order of the Foresters, and the Luxemburgers. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mary E. Allen of Wilmette; a son, John J. of Evanston; a sister, Miss Anna Kaufmann of Wilmette; and five grandchildren. Funeral Services were conducted Jan. 14 in St. Joseph's Church by Msgr. Charles Meter. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove.
