The N e~' Trier Citizens League, incorporated in 1913~ is a non-partisan organization patterned after the Municipal Voter League of Chicago. Its purposes declared in its charter are "To cause citizens of integrity, public spirit and efficiency to be nominated and elected to office in the Township of New Trier . . . . ; to con1pel interest to be paid by all public officials upon public funds in their hands; to compel public officials to C0111 p~y with the law respecting fees and salaries."
