Clerk Ia Named · Preaident Winnetka Club of Rotary, a unit of ~otary International, was formally organized Monday evening of this week at a dinner in Commur;tity House, when representatives of the Distric.t Governor of the organization officially sanctioned the establishment of a club in that village. Frederick Edson Clerk, superintendent of New Trier Township High school, was ekcted president of the Winnetka club which starts with a charter membership of 19 business and professional ·men. Dr. James E. Fonda was elected vice-president; H. D. Hill, secretary and treasurer, and James A. Richards, -A. D. Herrmann, A. Lee Adams and Edward G. Brochu, directors. The charter · membership l-ist comprises: Frederick Edson Clerk, Dr. James E. Fonda, Frederick J. Eckart, Raymond N. Kloepfer, George W. Slocum, William T. Wersted, M. L. Adams, Earl L, Weinstock, E. C. WeissenberB', Victor J. Killian, R. H. Schell, Elmer E. Adams, James A. Richards, William L. Wente, Harold D. Hill, Edward G. Brochu, Alva Lee Adams, A. D. Herrmann and B. W. Blow. Monday's organization meeting was directed by F. L. Bateman, representing the District Governor, who is a resi· dent of Wilmette and a member of the Chicago Rotary club. The pt"incipal speaker of the evening was Chesley R Perry, general secretary of Rotaty International wh~e home is in Glencoe. The club selected Friday noon as its regular meeting time. Charter Night will be held in the near future, it is announced. Winnetka Club of Rotary was made possible through the sanction of Wilmette Rotary and other Rotary clubs in the Chicago area. Greiner, 631 Lake avenue, died of apolexy at his apartment in Chicago, Thursday morning, April 24. The remains were taken to Terre Haute, Ind., where funeral services held from the home of his mother Saturday of last week.
