Cottages Big A id Included in the general sum resulting from the drive arc the funds for the three cottages which have hcen donated by this community ; one by a dinncr club composed of Wilmette residents, one by the Camp Fire Girls, and um: by ttft: COIIIIIIUilli) ttSelt. Qn the books of the association Wilmette stands accredited with another cottage, funds for which were sent direct to the general treasurer instead of to the local committee. The value of the cottage systrm was demonstrated beyond doubt at the camp last summer. The heavy rains made it necessary many times to move families from the inadequate tents to cottages already occupied, for temporary shelter. Besides the money given, many garrnents have been contrii-Jted. Sever)ll.l groups of women sew for Arden shore, and the Industrial committee has collected clothinJ{ and hou ehold articles of all kinds which have been sent to the camp. Appreciate Coopera tion TQ the cooperation of the whole comrnunity are due these splendid results, the committee declares. The Arden Shore camp through the generosity of the press, the movie theaters, and many other friends, has become much better known "Members of the Wilmette committee <>nd all their helpers have worked with the greatest enthusiasm and the most untiring energy to achieve this result. Too much cannot be said of their loyalty and devotion to their chosen work. "The generosity of the people of Wilmette has made possible this splendid contribution to the charity which belongs so especially to the north shore," a camp executive asserts. "And that it is a charity worthy of our best efforts is ob'·ious to anyone who will take the trouhie to visit this lovely place just north <lf Lake Bluff where hundreds of mothen and children in summer enjoy for a little while the benefits which we have every day and where during summer and winter undernourished and convalescent <"hildren are given the care and loving kindness that turns them into healthy ' happy boys and girls." 5.os5.zs ~ ll'..i ~ ~ ~ ~ ~:.~~~~~ii~~~~~~~~~~~~~~-ft~u~~~-~~-~~un~~~~~~~~~:::;:;; conducted with the purpose of acquainting the residents of the village with its operation.
