Two Representatives Charming Program to Address Meeting at Winnetka Club of Winnetka Voters The pupils from the different schools in vVinnetka did great credit to themselves and much honor to their schools in the children's entertainment given at the Winnetka \Voman's club the last Tuesday afternoon in December. Pupils from the .r-.;orth Shore Country Day school sang folk songs in Russian costume, under the supervision of Miss Helen Davis. Mrs. Homer Cotton directed a trio from New Trier high school. These young people are highly talented and played charmingly, a "Serenade" hy Liebe, "Adagio" by Beethoven, ").1omcnt 11u sicar' by Schubert, and a ··· II ungarian Dance" hy Brahm ~ . The pantomime hy the Skokie school pupil s wa. beautifully done, and was recei \·cd \\'ith great glee by the many children in the audience. The afternoon's hostes ses were :Mrs. Benjamin Affleck, ~frs. Frederick Christopher, Mrs. A. G. Henning. ~1r s . Ralph Brockett, ~1 r s. \\'illiam Elliott, and Mrs. Charles Thomp son. Two state representatives, Howard P. Castle and Mrs. ]. Paul Goode, have been secured a s speakers for the next meeting of the Winnetka League of Women Voters, Monday, January 11. Miss Elizabeth Gemmell, chairman of the committee on citizenship and elections, is in charge of the meeting. It will begin with luncheon at 12 :30 o'clock at Community House. The busine ss of the meeting will be condl}cted, as usual, during the luncheon, and the speaking will begin promptly at 1 :15. The speakers are to be allowed to chose their own subject s. These have not yet been announced. hut will probably have to do with the work of the legislature at the coming session. Mr. Castle is the representative from thi s north shore district. ~Irs.
