The afternoon program, starting at 1 :45 o'clock, will be of unusual interest. The general federation will be represented .by two of its chairmen, Mrs. Alfred C. Tyler, who will give a short talk on "Motion Pictures," and Mrs. Martin Kent Northam, chairman of "Junior : M embership," who will talk on that subject. 1Irs. D. Pirie Beyea is the principal speaker of the day; her subject will be "The Menaces of Civilization." Mrs. Beyea is a speaker of rare excellence and her subject an interesting and timely one. · Probably the most interesting part of the day will be the music furnished by the A Cappella Choir of Northwestern university. This is the only choir of its kind in America , singing without accompaniment. The members, an inspiriug sight in their caps and gowns, will present the following numbers: GROUP I a.
