Jasper Quaker State Medium Motor Oil Used No Extra Lubrication Needed Last Thursday we took from our stock a standard Series 11 Franklin Sedan and loaned·it to Mr. B. W. Kellogg to give it the 100-Mile Low-Gear Test. The car was driven 100 miles in low-gear through the principal streets of Evanston, Wilmette, Kenilworth and Win~~ netka. Imagine driving a car · in low-gear at a speed of 15 miles per hour for 100 miles and you visualize how severe a test Mr. Kellogg gave the Franklin. The time was 7 hours and 23 minutes, oil consumption 1 quart, fuel used 160 gallons. Regular Quaker State Medium mo· tor oil was used; no extra lubrication needed. The fuel mileage is equivalent to 21.07 miles per gallon in high gear. The motor was driven at approximately 2,900 revolutions per minute, equivalent to a high gear speed of 60.3 miles per hour. In high gear the distance traversed would have been about 401 miles. This test calls to your attention distinct Franklin advantages-not to prove them. Daily performance in the hands of owners for 25 years has proved that. But, it fixes squarely in the minds of every one the superiortt of air-coolipg. Franklin--Butler Motors, Inc., W. E.
