OctQber 8, 1926 William H. Barnes of Evanston, who has been organist at the First Baptist church of Wilmette since 1924, opened a series of organ programs to be given there, last Sunday afternoon. He was assisted by Mrs. Isabel Zehr, contralto soloi;t at the Second Presbyterian church, Evanston. During the recent summer Mr. Barnes presented recitals for several days at the SesquicenteQnial exposition in Philadelphia. He also appeared before the Chamber of Commerce. at Scranton, Pa., playing the instrument made famous by Charles Courboin, one of the eminent eastern mast~rs of the organ. WILMETTE _LIF..E 47.
