Whereas, it has been brought to ~ the attention of the Board of Trusthe various villages of the north shore are about to petition· the Sanitary District of Chicago to grant relief by the construction of a suitable drainage ditch throughout the Skokie valley; and "Whereas. · it is further proposed that it t'he Sanitary District of Chicago fail to grant the .z.ecessary relief. then a drainage __,district or distri cts. will be · formed for the express purpose of rendering this service to the villages along the north shore; "'Therefore. be it Resolved, by the · Board of Trustees of the village of Glencoe· that we do endorse the proposition of adequate drainage for th · Skokie valley, and pledge our co-oper ation to this end."
