D., chaplain of St. Francis hospital and editor of "The Christian Family," is busy preparing for a six months' trip to Europe and the Orient. It will not be a pleasure tour but primarily a study trip. He will leave on the North German Lloyd steamer "Berlin." March 31, and after a brief sojourn in the mother h0use of the missionary society of the Divine Word, of which Ire is a member, in Holland, and a visit with some relatives Fr. Lynk in the Rhineland, he . expects to motor through south~r~l and eastern Germany and then vtstt England and Ireland, France, Spain Italy, Greece and Palestine and possibly see also a bit of Turkey and th<: Balkan states. He has been engaged by several national magazines; to write articles on forthcoming events in various parts of Europe. He has equipped himseli with a portable typewriter, several cameras, and a cine-kodak, and hopes to make good use of all of them. During his abse·ncc, the Rev. Haarmau, S. V. D., will take his place.
