The latter company, which showed the Commerce body how comprehensive its $35,000,000 plan was, received the permit to undertake the work on January 19. The Municipal \Yater company, which had appeared hcforc the Illinois Commerce Commis.:iion as well, with a plan to take in a much smaller area, was given thirty days to petition for a re-hearing. The Municipal Water company did this, it is explained, and now the state rL'g-ulating body has announced that it bas refused the re-hearing request, which gives its final approval to the Greater Chicago Lake \Vater company.
