Composed of white hlock tiles upon which is p~nted a blue figure it adds an effective finishing touch to the simple but attractive lobby. The work was done by John Caretti and company, 53 "vV. Austin avenue, Chicago. They were also the contractors in the installation of the tile floors in the stores that are being built in connection with the theater. The Caretti company has done the tile work in a number of well known Chicago buildings among them being the Tribune Tower, Palace Music hall. Medical and Dental Arts building and in Evanston, the new addition 'to the Evanston hospital. In 1867, Champaign and Urbana paid almost $250,000 to obtain the University of Illinois.
