Lady Grenfell had for sale as well as the books about Labrador by the lecturer and which he had personally prefaced with a little pen sketch and · an autograph. Walter Marx is chairman of the entertainment committee which was responsible for this lecture and expects to present Carl Sandburg at the next entertainment scheduled for February 24. This Friday evening the club is entertaining the men with a stag supper bridge. J ule Peterson is in charge of the evening. On Friday, February 10. there will be a dance and on Friday, February 17, a supper bridge. Mrs. Harold Tideman is chairman of the dance committees and Mrs. Thomas White of the cards. ..... ,_,., Range OLD lor 10111' OLD Kenilworth Family Guests at Diplomatic Reception Mr. and Mrs. Frederick D'Aix and Miss Clarabelle Russ of Melrose avenue, left Kenilworth on Monday for Washington, D. C., to attend the private diplomatic reception at the White House on Thursday evening of this week. They are staying at the Wardman Park hotel while in Washington, where Congressman and Mrs. Henry Riggs Rathbone make their headquarters. Mrs. D'Aix wore white satin embroidered in crystals and briJ. liants at the reception and Miss Clarabelle was in a simple white French frock ornamented with spangles and beads. After their stay in Washington they will go to Palm Beach for an indefinite period. ENTERTAIN VISITOR Miss Inez Webster has been a guest in Kenilworth for two weeks at the home of her brother, Albert Webster. She has had a merry round of dinner parties, afternoon bridge parties and teas given in her honor. Last Saturday, Mrs. George Jones of Oxford road entertained at dinner for Miss Webster. Miss Webster is devoting her life to relief work in the Near East and soon will leave again for Russia. Mr. and Mrs. James Guinan. now living in the Taylor house on Kenilworth 'avenue, have purchased the Hannah residence on Abbottsford road which was left vacant by the re('ent death of Mrs. A. D.
