Two exhibits of Art work by pupsls of the New Trier High sch~l are being sent to foreign countraes where they will be exhibited in Europe and Japan. The first group, t:omposed of about 75 pieces. representing every phase of work done in the art department of the ·local school, is being sent to Japan. This exhibit, whch has been prep~!ed by the pupils under the superv1s1~n of Miss Olive Grover and Msss Catherine M. Murphy of the New Trier faculty, is designed to illustrate two points : friendship of the American people for Japan and the American type of Art work. Negotiations for a return exhibit are also being made by the school. The other exhibit is being sent to the Sixth International Congress for Art Edu-cation and Art and Drawing in Industry which is to be held· at Prague. The American exhibits are being collected at Hartford, Conn., where the best pieces will be selected and sent on to Prague. The two groups of Art work bring the total of such exhibits to four for New Trier during this year as entries in the Art League contests and the Union League club Washington Birthday contests have previously been sent. Anne Kathryn Cummiskey, 1336 Elmwood avenue, entertained fourteen of her little friends from 4 to 6 Tuesday afternoon, at a Valentine party given in cele.bration of her eighth birthday.
