The next meeting of the Neighbors will · be the annual birthday party which means an open house and a spirit of good wiD and happiness to every member of the club. For several years the social chairman has planned a luncheon for this day and this is to be no .exception. Luncheon will ·be served promptly at 1 o'clock, with Mrs. Fred _ Bulley, chairman of the social committee, in charge. General nominations for the club officers are in order on this day and every member is urged to interest herself in the nomination and support either some proposed candidate or to offer for nomination some candidate herself. This is the opportunity for each one in the club to be represented. Miss Mary Cattell, a dramatic reader and interpreter of plays, will give either "Enter Madame" or "The Guardsman." She has recently added "The Guardsman" to her repertoire and has been using it in her most recent recitals and she has expressed rather a preference for this play but ~·Enter Madame" is the play mentioned in the year book and the committee hesitates at any unnecessary change. Many in Kenilworth will recall "The Guardsman" as one of the very fine plays recently given in Chicago by the New York Theatre Guild company. Special music is also planned for thi~ birthday luncheon. Reservations for the luncheon mus: be made with Mrs. Bulley, 220 Sheridan road. Kenilworth, not later than Friday, February 17, it is announced. Two Artists in Musicale at Home of Mn. Harrison B7 Viraiaia Hedrick Mrs. Harry Harrison of Abbottsford road, Kenilworth, entertained sixteen of her friends at luncheon last Wednesday when they enjoyed one of the lovliest programs of the season. An .invitation to Mrs. Harrison·s home always means some rare treat, for those who have attended in the past have heard artists such as Mary Welch, contralto, Charles Marshall, tenor, and many other musicians of fame. At the lum:heon last week Mrs. Harrison presented two artists, Miss Florence Rosheger, violinist, and Hugo Brandt, pianist. They gave an hour of beautiful music. Miss Rosheger is not only a splendid artist who plays with excellent taste and exquisite skill, but she was charming to look ~t and made a picture as she played. Mr. Brandt gave some very brilliant and difficult numbers and, in closing, improvised a number made ' up from arias from operas suggested by members of his audience. It was a unique thing to do and proved very popular for it combined the airs all know and love best, from the "Barcarole" of the "Tales of Hoffman." to Fine Day" of "Madame the "One . Butterfly" or the "Celeste Aida" from the opera "Aida." ·to Stwe So DecisWel1 Juni~r Nei,hbo.-. Give a Party for Girls of Home 1 The Young people's department of the Neighbors held a Valentine party for the girls of Grove House on Tuesday evening, February 14, at the home of the president of the club, Mrs. Kelso Farley. This party is part of a program of charity and love which these young women took upon themselves when they formed this group department of the mother club. At Christmas time they .furnished clothing and lrifts for these less fortunate girls and found great pleasure for themselves as "givers."
