THE National Kindergarten and Elemeatary college opened a demonstration school at Mary Crane Nursery, Hull House, September, 1925. Mis~ Nina Kenagy is in charge of the educational work of the Mary Crane Nursery. Miss Kenagy is a graduate of · the college and of the University of ·Jowa. and has had many years of experience as a kindergartener and special work with Dr. Bird T. Baldwin of the University of Iowa in the pre-chool movement. There is an unusual opportunity, to co-ordinate the work of social, educational and welfare agencies at Mary Crane. The Nursery school gives three feedings a day, a rest period in the morning and a nap after the noon meal. Every child is bathed at least three times a week unless the home supplies this need. There are toys and play-materials suited to size, songs, rhythms and stories. All of this equipment and material is combined in a clearly defined educational p r o g r a m emphasizing health habits. mental development and moral-social adjustments. &1& DAYB SIIEIT, EVANSI'OI Plio.. u.n. 2751-51-52-53 · elle 835-83& 0 3 DeliYWiee .,.. to WiJa.tte, K.ilwwdl, .
