This is a system of questions, 20 at a time, that ·every Scout should .know. Sometimes they are about first aid, sometimes signalling and other subjects. Each patrol · has a sheet of paper with the questions on it and they work out the answers during _patrol meetings and then hand them in to Scoutmaster Leach. Scout Troop 13 of Kenilworth came off the victors in a series of contests on March 6 with Troop 5 of Wilmette -although the latter took Thirteen's scalp in a basketball game by a score of 14 to 7. The contest was held at the Union church. Kenilworth won a relay race, and followed that up with a victory in wigwag signaling. Then Kenilworth was awarded first,. second and third places in knot-tying. Kenilworth also succeeded in getting the correct sema- · phore message through first. Gilbert, Scribe, Troop 13 To Award Leather Shield in Trnoo 9 Patrol Contest Junior Officers of Scout Troop 9 of Wilmette met at the home of Scout Bob May for the purpose of discussing troop activities. It wa·.s decided to undertake a patrol contest. A leather shield with the name of the patrol winning the contest tooled upon it. will be awarded as a prize. Cake and ice cream were served at the meeting.
