Next Monday and Tuesday WJll be red letter days at the Sells-Fioto circus in the Chicago Coliseum insofar as Wilmette is concerned. Monday afternoon, April 16, the children of the public schools will be given an afternoon holiday to permit them to see the circus. Tuesday evening, April17, the grownups in the village will journey to the circus. The two days have been designated as Wilmette Days at the circus .by the Wilmette Chapter of the Eastern Star. A portion of the ·proceeds from the Monday and Tuesday evening performances will go into the Eastern Star fund which is being employed to defray the cost of the n~ organ installed in the lodge room of the Wilmette Masonic temple. . Tuesday evening will be of unusual interest in that it will witness the participation in the circus events of certain of our leading citizens, including Village President Orner, Superintendent of Public Works Schultz, Chief of Police Charles W. Leggett and other well known villagers, who have been pursuaded to ride elephants in the inaugural parade and· otherwise conduct themselves in the manner of circus performers. Tickets for the matinee and evening performance Monday Tuesday, which next provide goodand reserved seats, may be purchased at the following places in the village: Snider-Cazel Drug company, Renneckar Drug company, W. W. Winberg pharmacy, and North Western station. Yiss Eleanor Berger, daughter of the Robert 0. Bergers, Kenilworth avenue, spent the Easter holidays in New York City. Mrs. Willis H. Hutson, 1112 Elmwood avenue entertained her luncheon and bridge club Tuesday. -oMrs. M. H. McMillen of 1010 Linden avenue ·entertained the Reading Circle last Wednesday. Mrs. Marian Cotton, music supervisor at New Trier High school, is secretary of -the National Music Supervi~ors' association. and is largely in charg~ of preparations for the National Music Supervisors' conference F. KBIBB, Protdetor which is being held in Chicago during Plloae II the coming week.
