On Monday evening next at 8. there will be a meeting of representatives of all the classes confirmed within St. John's parish since 1904. This meeting being called In the interest of a meetIng of all those confirmed In the past which will be held within a short time. Delegates have ·been appointed to represent the various classes and have been notified by letter of this meeting. It Is hoped that all will be present when the meeting Is called to order, at 8 :00 p. m. The pastor Is beginning a new class for confirmation, besides the two classes now organized. The new class will Jl'!eet at 7:30 o"cloek next Friday evenmg (or the first time. At tile Present time nine have enrolled In this class. Anyone Interested who would like to enter this class may confer with the pastor. It has also been found necessary to open a new Bible study class ; this will seek its members among the people who heretofore have . a ttended the Bible Hour given every second TJ!ursday evening. This arrangement should meet with the enthusiastic approval and support of the members of St. John's. The pastor wlll attend a pastoral conference meeting at St. Peter's Lutheran church. 74th and Michigan avenue Chicago, from Tuesday to Thursday of next week. He may be seen on the evenings of these days at the study. Holy Week with Its two communion services despite tbe unfavorable weather brought out large congregations. They were the largest communions In the histc~ry of St. John's. Easter likewise found the c.. urch filled to capacity, with ~n otrerlng well over a thousand dollars. Classes for the Christian education of children are given every Monday anct Friday afternoon at 4 at the · church and at 5 o'clock at the Winnetka Par~ ish House. These classes are free to all children. Any child seven years' of age or above may enter. The choi~ has again settled down to hard work In preparation for the sPecial services and holidays to come, as the day of confirmation, Kay 20, the Day of Pentecost, May 271 and the Festival of the Holy Trinity, .June 3. This choir. under tne direction of Miss EJecta Austin, Is rendering the church admirable service and is to-be congratulated upon its fine work. Letters of transfer were gh·en to Alfred Horn and tamUy and Theodore Mueller and wife.
