Fire broke out in the roof of the Kenilworth Grocery store, which immediately adjoins the Village hall in which· the polling was conducted, causing . some excitement among the voters but little damage to the building. Wilmette firemen were summoned but volunteers had the blaze virtu~lly under control before the arrival of the apparatus. The blaze wa!t caused by sparks from burning rubbish in a vacant lot near by.
