A basketball league which closed its season March 26 marked the first attempt for a women's league in any sport, and the Volley Ball will be used for ·an intermediary between it and the Playground Ball league late in the spring. The same team organizations with the same personnel that competed in the first league, are entered in the Volley Ball. Daniel M. Davis, director of recreation, stated that he was very pleased with the enthusiasm with which the women's activities have been received and hoped that they would serve as a preliminary step to a permanent woman's organization connected with the Playground and Recreation Board. The Horsefeathers, Rinky Dinks and O'Kays were the victors in Monday evening's competition.
