The fine spirit that hrottght people from their homes on a rainy day to the garden market. .to do their part in making a commumty project a success, is much to be commended. Everybody worked with us, it seemed in one way or another, Earl Orner, c.' C. Sch~ltz, and Charles . W. Leggett, in particular. The Wilmette Fire department loaned us a heavy _ tarpaulin which Mr. Mitchell used to make into a shelter for the workers The when the rain was heaviest. North Shore line gave us the use of their grounds. The school children made our posters. Hoffman Brothers loaned us boards, and the Methodist ·church loaned the supports for the boards. \Villiam Scott sent over chairs for our use.
