The purpose of the RoundUp is to give healtl~ examinati~ns to all children who wtll enter Kmdergarten or the first grad~ fo~ the first time next term. The obJect ts to send to the Kindergarten and first grade a class of children 100% free from remediable defects. The work of the Round :- Up does not provide free medical or dental care in carrying through the correction of defects but refers the child to the family physician or dentists if treatment is necessary. Dr. W. W. Hawkins and Dr. Beatrice W. Hawkins of Wilmette ·will make examinations in the nurse's room at the Howani school Monday, June 4, Thursday, June 7, and Friday, June 8, from 2 .to 4 P. M. They will be assisted by the school nurse, Mrs. Emma Stopka, and members . of the Logan-Howard Parent-Teacher association. There is no charge for this examination. Parents are urged to send their children of Pre-School age who will enter school next Fall. It is planned to have the Rvuncl -Up completed on the above dates and have a Check-up in September. By co-operating in thi s fine work parent s can avoid the danger of having their children enter school with remediable defects.
