Barnett of Glencoe, who has made it his custom to award in the spring of each year prizes for the three best bird essays by New Trier students. This year the awards went to Robert King, Wilmette; Grace Cooke, \Vilmette, and Robert Wilkins, Wilmette. The next award, sponsored by the Wilmette State bank, was made for the three best scholars in the department. The winners were Victor Deinlein, Wilmette; Howard Bleser, \Vilmette, and Vera McKay, Wilmette. The Harvard Book prize, given by the Harvard Club of Chicago to the best junior student at ~ew Trier each· year, was a warded to .Robert .M arcus of Wilmette.
