ORRINGTON HOTEL, EVANSTON I I Harold Lloyd in Leon Errol Escorts His Trick Pins to Granada "Speedy" Booked Leon Errol, musical comedy and revue star, will make his bow to GraOn V arst·tY S creen nada theater audiences beginning tomorrow. He will appear in "There It Goes" with a cast of stars, many of them brought here by Leon Errol himself. · There It Goes" is an extravaganza, said to be one of the most pretentious ever brought to a motion picture theater. It is the second of the "Banner Month" sh~ws at the Granada. Leon Errol has neyer before made a personal appearance in a motion picture theater, having aQ.Peared exclusively for many years in such big revties and musical comedies as "Sally," "Louis XIV," "Ziegfeld Follies," "Yours Truly" and many others. · He is not cast in the show as an act but will work throJJgh the entire perform1 ance of over one hour, repeating for Gran ad a patrons the little stunts, songs, and antics which have gained for him his stardom and popularity. The famous collapsible le_g will be much in evidence-:-in fact the title of the show, "There It Goes," has been named as a tribute to the wobbling and unsteady left leg that has created so much laughter among theater audiences in the last few years. The vitaphone will bring the voic.e of another great screen star to the Granada next week, for Lois Wilson, leading lady of a score of excellent photoplays. will be heard in a sketch entitled ":Miss Information." ·William Boyd and Sue Carol have the leads in "Skyscraper" to be shown at the Varsity theater this Saturday. It is the · romantic story of two hard-boiled steel workers and of two girls, who are dainty and beautifuL Most of the action takes place high on the steel framework of a half-completed building. The novelty of scenes filmed there is equalled by a sequence in an amusement' park. "An ingenious and high-powered comedy," says one critic of Harold Lloyd's "Speedy," which is to be the mai.n_attraction at the Varsity Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of next week. Lloyd ca_ptures all the dash and excitement of Manhattan in this picture. He took a year to make it, and it was time well expended. The picture is praised as a "corking rib-tickler." Ann Christy was chosen from Hollywood's thousands of extras for the feminine lead l>ecause of her long hair. The famous Dorothy Mackaill-] ack Mulhall starring combination is not at all disappoining in "Lady Be Good," coming to the Varsity next Thursday and Friday. The team goes over big in this snappy screen version of the ·recent musical show. Dorothy is not only a clever comedien_ ne and dancer but has a perfect right to lay claim to a perfect right-and left.
