Inquiring Reporter Question: \Vhat do you think of Summer School? Track Meet Nearly Drowns in Rain, Mud Wednesday was the track meet. The Juniors had running, hopping, broad jumping and ball throwing. The Seniors had broad jumping, running· and ball throwing. Everything went fine until, when the 11-year-old girls ·were ready for a race, a sudden downpour of rain came and we all rushed for shelter. Und~r shelter we waited for about fifteen minutes, then went out and continued the races. Racing in muddy water was not much fun but we did it for our side. It ended as last year. Vattman won the loving cup. The score was as follows: . Vattman, 226; Laurel, 164; Beach, 83; Village Green 71. The contest was Thursday. We had to make . it all out of sand. The contest wa§ at the beach around 2 o'clock in . the afternoon. The contest was fun to watch. It was last Friday. We were going down to the beach but the rain spoiled it. We had to have it in our room. We played games and then ate our lunch which we brought.
