Sealed proposals for excavating and removing the old curbs and curb a nd gutter, old pavement, earth and sidewalk removing trees, re-setting fire hydr~nts electric light poles and cables in south~ west part of said street and paving same with reinforced concrete pavement fifty-two (52) feet wide between curbs, and seven (7) inches thick, except along the outer one (1) foot on each side of the pavement which shall be nine (9) inches thick and except on the two (2) feet adjacent to said outer one foot, which shall be decreased uniformly, from nine (9) inches, thick to seven (7) inches thick at three (3) feet from the outer edge of the pavement and constructing a concrete curb twenty-four (24) inches high, six (6) inches thick at the top and eight (8) Inches thick at the bottom, built along the outer edge of said pavement, except across street and alley intersections, and by adjusting manhole and catch basin covers, constructing new brick catch basins, valve chambers and catch basin inlets, moving hydrants and street lamps and otherwise improving ~rain Street from the south limits of the Village of Wilmette to the south line of Elmwood Avenue, and the roadways of intersecting streets and alleys to the oute r line or lines of Main Street, in the Village of ·Wilmette, Cook County, Illinois, in accordance with the ordinance and specifications for said imJ)rovement, will be received by the Board of Local Improve ments of said Village of Wil-. mette until 7 :30 o'clock P.
