M ODERN in every respect, the· new EW, INDEED, have been the fish stories related about the round table at Chambers' Cafe, since the recent trout dinner at which R. E. Crosby and G. W. McKendry were hosts to about a dozen of their Winnetka friends. Stories of phenomenal 'catches have been related here so often, and always with varying details, that the relators, (not realtors) themselves, had really come to believe them. Crosby & McKendry sell real estate, but fishing is one of their choice diversions, and recently they took time off to indulge in their favorite sport. They were accompanied by Clarence Cole, of Chicago; with whc.m, for five days they fished the waters of the Wolf and Thun~er rivers, far up in the wilds of Wisconsin, where brook and rainbow trout abound. The catch was a11 they had anticipated, and with their success, came a longing to show their friends, The Fhll back at Matt Lillig's what real fishermen actually accomplish. With fifty of the choice catch, iced, and pa.~ked for the trip, the homeward drive of 250 miles was made over night, and the following noon, these fish were served as evidence of the bewitching stories of the successful trip. "There can be no circumstantial evidence about this case," declared Judge C. T. Northrup as he smacked his lips and carved away at one of the three pounders. Dr. Woods did not even mention the little string of perch, which, on former occasions had been heralded as a great catch. E. B. Taylor, J. Lee Rosberg, M. P. Thoma, George Sewell, E. C. Weisenberg, A. Eckart, Mrs. De Witt Garrison, T Mrs ~auline Hawley, M. A. Stockley, and John C. Wi11iams lie 8tory were other guests at the dinner, all of whom shared with their hosts the pleas.ures the trip had brought, but expressed little sympathy in the talk about the "big ones that got away." CABINET HEATERS FOR BATH Cabinet heaters for the bathroom may now be had which will harmonize with the arrangement and also with the color scheme of this room. In this way is individuality achieved; and since color is the dominant requisite for present day decorative bathroom effects any radiator to which delicate tints and shades may be applied is appealing.
