Brenchley, of 1124 Linden avenue, Wilmette. were taken to the Evanston hospital last Thursday morning as a resu!t of ~n juries received when the car m whtch they were riding ran into th~ side <;>f a northbound North Shore lme tram at the Linden avenue crossing. Holmes and Brenchley were going ea.;t on Linden avenue, with Holmes at the \vheel, according to the police report. Brenchley suffered a severe cut over the left eye, while Holmes received face and body injuries. The car was badly damaged. in Chicago Church Miss Veneta Ada Langdon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Langdon of 715 Laurel avenue, became the bride of Lyman Newton of Chicago at 8 o'clock last Saturday night in the Rogers Park Congregational church. The Rev. ]. R. Nichols performed the ceremotl.Y. A reception was held immediately after the ceremony in the home of the bride's parents. The bride wore a white chiffon dress trimmed in pearl beading and a veil trimmed in orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of white roses, valley lilies, and sweet peas. In the center of the bouquet was a cluster of tiny pink roses. Miss Marian Langdon, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. She vrore a rose chiffon dress and carried ' a bouquet of deep pink roses and or, chid sweet peas. Miss Mildred Ancterson, one of the bridesmaids, wore a blue chiffon dress and carried a bouquet of light pink roses and delphinium. Miss Margaret Meyer, the other bridesmaid, wore an orchid chiffon dress and carried a bouquet similar to Miss Anderson's. The best man was the brother of the groom, Cortland Newton. The ushers were Herbert Dean and Laurence Greenhaugh.
