30 WILMETT.E LIFE October 12, 1928 Christian Science "Unreality" was the subject of the lesson-sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, Sunday, October 7· The Golden Text was from I Peter 3:10 "He that will love life, and see good days, let hirp refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile." · Among the citations which · comprised the lesson-sermon was the following from the Bible: "For thus !iaith the Lord that created the heavens. God himself that ·formed the earth and made it ; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else. I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the Lord speak righteousness, I declare things that are right" (Isaiah 45:18, 19). The lesson -sermon also included the following passages from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by Mary Baker Eddy: "Everything good or worthy, trod made. Whatever is valueless or baneful. He did not make, hence its unreality" (p. 525).
