During the month of October a regular membership campaign has been in progress and current reports indicate that this year will show again a substantial increase over preceding years. Otis of \Vinnetka appears as an innkeeper. Mr. Otis, one of the founders of the Theatre Guild, will be remembered for his many splendid performances, in plays of previous years. He appeared in "Mixed Marriages," "Twelve Hundred a Year," "Dear Brutus," "The Truth About Blayds," and "The Red Robe." As Falstaff in "Henry The Fourth" he shared starring honors with Basil Sidney, the eminent British Shakespearean actor, who was the Guest Artist for that production. More recently Mr. Otis played a peddlerof most romatic tendencies~in the "Romantic Age." In "No. 17" his acting of the seaman, somewhat the worse for wear, and irrepressibly talkative, was an outstanding feature of that successful play.
