Mrs. Charles D. Howe gave a paper on "Music of the First Half of the Nineteenth Century." The next regular meeting of the Neighbors will occur next Tuesday at 2:30 in the regular club rooms. Mrs. Thomas 0. Perry will give an . illustrated lecture on. "Historic Spots in Illinois." A musical program consisting of "Folk Songs" will be given by Constance Vasek Se£1, mezzo-soprano. This is an open meeting of the club when ths members are free to invite guests without a guest fee. The chairman of the program committee calls the attention of the members to the fact that Mrs. Perry's program will be of especial interest, not only to the club members, but to their friends affiliated with the D. A. R. Mrs. Perry holds the office of chairman of the committee for the preservation of historic spots in Illinois. Her lecture will be educational and will bring many points and places of in-· terest before the eyes of the motorist who travels through the state. The lecture will have stereopticon pictures. Mrs. Perry has spoken all thropgh the state and knows w.hereof she speaks.
