Refreshments were served from ~u attractively decorated table by Mrs. Pavlicek as social chairman, assisted by fifth grade mothers as hostesses. The attendance prize was awarded Miss :Perry's fifth grade room, having thirty-one mothers present. A novel feature formed the introduction to the Dec~mber meeting of Logan-Howard Parent-Teacher association on Tuesday afternoon. This was the class in music appreciation of seventh grade pupils under the direction of Mrs. Agnes Clark, with a study of composers and the~r work, and the c?mponent parts of an orchestra. A d1scussion of the harp as the oldest known musical instrument, and a test in recognizing ·various musical instruments as rec.orded on the phonograph, demonstrated a typical lesson in this. study, now a regular feature in our schools. Continuing the program arranged by the teachers for this meeting the Logan school kindergarten ga;e a number of songs and a game; Logan, first and second grades, Rhythms ; Howard, first grade, "Some of Our Helpers;" Howard, third grade boys, gymnastics; girls, "A Hunting We WiJI Go;" Howard, fifth grade, two plays-"Good Health Wins" and a history play. The final number was a group of three songs by the boys' glee club of the seventh and eighth grades, directed by Mrs. Clark and accompanied by Janet Wright. Andersona to Present Stained Glass Window A stained glass window, the gift of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur· A. Anderson to the school of law at Northwestern university, will be unveiled by the donors Friday afternoon, December 7, at 3 o'clock. The elaborate window has been placed at the head of ·the stairs on the third floor of the law school, overlooking Chicago avenue. Walter Dill Scott, president of Northwestern, will accept the window. A number of prominent Chicagoans will be present at the unveiling.
