Pool A new women's swimming class for beginners \Vill be started by fhe Wilmette Playground and Recreation board in connection with the weekly morning swimming class at the Evanston Y. :M. C. A. at the first postholiday meeting next Wednesday morning. A reduced fee has been arranged for tl1e remaining thirteen lessons of the course and each new pupil will have ample time to learn to swim before the end of the season. The majority of the members of the beginning class, starting at the first of the course in October, have learned the elementarv strokes and have completed the first step of swimming the vridth of the pool Many of them have passed the beginners' swim test by swimming the length of the pool and are beginning the crawl stroke. As soon as the fundamental steps have been covered the entire . class will be pron1oted into the advanced class and preliminary work of Life Saving tests will be started. The new class will be limited to twenty-five members and special attention will he given to the class members at 9:30 o'clock each Wednesdav morning. Fees are payable in advance at the recreation office, Tenth street and Central avenue.
