This meeting will begin promeptly at 2 o'clock. The men welcomed back to their class last Sunday morning Dr. William D. Schermerhorn who has been absent for a three-month period of study and investig·ation. During this time he led an Institution in Mexico and spent several weeks in special research work in New York. The book chosen for study for the next three months is entitled, "Roads to the City of God." The chapter h eadings sug·gest something of the contents of the book-Changing World Situations A New Alignment, The Workers of th~ World, The Road of Learning. All men are invited to attend this interesting discussion group. Lutton. They are lookin_g forward to a vigorous program from now until after Easter. , , The Ladies Guild meets Monda~ at 10 o clock for work in connection w1th its program of philanthropy. The members are asked to come in for as much time as they can devote· to the work. By action of the official board, the Wednesday evening lectures by Dr. Willett on "Great Poets of the Ages" have been intermitted for the next few weeks. Due notice will be given regarding their resumption. · · The Sunday school meets at 9 :45. There are classes for all, and all are welcome. Three n ew classrooms have been recently added to the equipment and are an important improvement in the work of the school. In accordance with the missionary a~d benevolent program of the church, the offering on the first Sunday in each month is devoted to one of the interests in which the members of the church are concerned. The offering last Sunday was devoted to the work of Foreign Missions as admistered by the American board, the organization rPpresenting the Congregational churcl1 es. It was announced that Rabbi and Mrs. Korpold will be unable to give their musical rea.d ing at this meeting. Instead, Franklin B. Snyder, orofessor of American literature at Northwestern university, will deliver a lecture on American art and literature of today. The reputation of Professor Snyder merits an unusually large attendance it is announced. Sewing will begin at 9 :30 o'clock.
