Hockey Tourney Starts The inter-class hockey tournament is now under way, \\'ith first and second teams representing each class. Here is a summary of games played up to Tuesday of this week. Seni9r first team beat sophomore first team 1 to 0 on a goal shot by Gloria Harrington, senior captain and president of the Girls' Athletic association. Junior first team trounced freshman first team 5 to 1. Goals by Ruth Offner (2), Florence Nelson (2), and Virginia Rietheimer for the juniors and Virginia Smith for the freshmen. Senior first team beat freshman first team 4 to 3 in the rain. Goals for seniors by Eileen Logan, Jean Thackery, and Gloria Harrington (2), for freshmen by Jane \Vaidner (2) and Virginia Smith. Sophomore second team defeat~d senior second team 7 to 0. Goals by Katherine French (3), Betty Brown (3), and Mary Lauer. Sophomore second team \\'On fro!n junior second team 1 to 0, Margaret Leach scoring the goal. Miss May Fogg is supen·isor of girls' athletics at New Trier. Miss Iris Boulton has charge of hockey and ·Miss Elizabeth Baker of soccer. Awarding of emblems for the fall season will take place Tuesday, November 26, when the girl athletes will hold a party in the New Trier mess hall. Stunts by various groups will be another feature of the party.
